You can use your real name in the application, but when it comes to the tax verification document (tax verification page), it's important you enter the name exactly as it appears on your most recently filed tax return.
Important: If you use a name that does not exactly match the one on your official IRS tax documents, it may result in a denial or delay of IRS verification.
