When you submit your financial aid application, we automatically review it against income- and asset-based criteria to see if your household qualifies for an application fee waiver — there's nothing extra you need to do to be considered.
If you qualify: you'll be able to submit your application without being asked to pay the application fee. That's it — no further steps needed.
If you don't qualify automatically: you can still request a fee waiver directly from your school. This is entirely up to the school's discretion, and not every school offers it, so it's worth checking with them.
Good to know: this eligibility check happens automatically, so our support team doesn't have visibility into why a specific application did or didn't qualify, and we're not able to change the result. If an automatic waiver wasn't applied to your application, your school is the best next step — they can let you know what options are available.
